My wife and I are on a 5-day trip without our kids!
After 21 years of marriage, I don’t know which is more miraculous: this week to ourselves or the fact that she still puts up with me.
I return on Monday night, and I’ll be live with you all next week.
“But Ben, what will we do without you? Do you have to leave?”
Walking away from the table is one of the hardest trades to make, I know. But this is actually a gift… it just depends on how you see it.
Two Ways To See It
There are two ways I can describe this trip.
I can say I have to step away from the market for 5 days.
Or I can say I get to.
One word flips the whole situation. One word turns a sacrifice into a gift.
Friends, I do not live to trade. I trade to live. My success in the market allows me to close the laptop and be present for my bride and my boys. It’s a chance I earned, and one I refuse to treat as a burden.
I get to leave. And while I’m gone, you get to do something just as valuable…
You get to test yourself without me this week.
The Market Is A Mirror
The market reflects everything back to us.
When we trade impatiently, it shows us the error of our impatience. When we cut corners, it cuts our account. And when we lose focus, we lose ourselves.
Few people in your life will hold up a mirror as clear as this.
The market does it every day.
- When you approach the market negatively, bad things happen.
- When we approach the market positively, good things happen.
I broke down this whole idea on camera a couple of months back:
Call it a chore, and you’ll trade like it’s a chore: rushing the process, forcing setups that aren’t there, taking bad trades just to get it over with.
Call it a privilege, and you’ll respect it. You’ll follow your rules. You’ll wait for your setup. And you’ll be grateful for the chance to trade.

During this stretch without trade alerts…
Pull up the charts without any money on the line. Try to execute these setups when a single rep is the only thing at stake. And work through the videos and teachings we’ve stacked up for you.
You get to show up to the market this week with materials and tools to help you succeed, regardless of whether I’m present.
Remember, patient people take money from impatient people… wait for your setup.
